Thomas Gentinetta

Thomas studied cell biology at the University of Bern. Before joining CSL Behring in 2013, he completed his PhD at the University Hospital Bern (Inselspital) within the Department of Rheumatology, Immunology and Allergology, where he studied the role of basophils as a tool for in vitro diagnostic purposes in drug mediated hypersensitivities. Joining the research department at CSL shifted his research focus from immunology to immuno-hematology. In his current position, he predominantly focuses on questions related to hemoglobinopathies related diseases using in vitro studies including cell culture, protein purification and characterization and protein-protein interactions and manages several research collaborations with academic partners across the globe.
