Sebastian Püngel
Sebastian holds a master’s degree in biotechnology with a strong focus on cell culture technology. He has 10+ years of international experience in cell line development, transient gene expression, project and innovation management within large corporates, midsize companies, and start-ups. Sebastian joined Boehringer Ingelheim in 2020 and is currently leading the Cell Biology Lab acting at the interface between Research and Development to develop new biological entities. Besides his day-to-day activities, Sebastian is actively supporting early career scientists by organizing and participating in career sessions, sharing personal experiences on social media and acting as a sparring partner for students within a mentoring program.
