The Students and Early-Career Scientists Award

The Students and Early-career Scientists Award (SESA) is intended to support next-generation researchers in protein expression in animal cells. This award of 500$ CAD aims to help promising young researchers in academia cover part of their travel fees or PEACe registration costs. 

 

Qualification

The SESA will be awarded to the highest-rated abstracts among applicants respecting the following criteria:

  • Profile*: The applicant must be a current university student (M.Sc., Ph.D.), a current academic postdoc, or have completed such programs after September 2022;
  • Abstract submission: The applicants must submit their abstract in the abstract submission form and request to be considered for the award by April 12, 2025;
  • Registration: The awardees must register for the conference by July 4, 2025;
  • Presentation: The awardees must present their research onsite during the PEACe conference.

*This award is available to academic early-career students and scientists only. Exceptions may apply and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. To inquire about your eligibility, contact us at [email protected] 

 

Notification

The SESA awardees will be notified of their application status in their Paper acceptance notice email (sent between May 12 and 16, 2025). 

 

Payment

The SESA awardees will receive instructions by email on how to claim their award payment by the end of the PEACe conference after all qualifying criteria are verified. Awardees will be asked to provide their bank account information. The award payment will be via a Canadian bank transfer (for Canadian awardees) or the Wise platform (for international awardees) for secure transactions.
